COVID-19's Impact on Human Resources & Employee Relations - Lessons Learned

Blair Reese is the Senior Manager, Human Resources Partner for CharterSAFE and works in the Risk Management Department providing Human Resources support to California charter school members. She has more than 16 years of Human Resources experience with advanced HR certifications from the Human Resources Certification Institute.

Deanna Moreno is the Human Resources Director for the Sequoia Grove Charter Alliance and provides support to three schools. Deanna has 8 years experience in HR Administration, and 18 years experience in California K-12. Deanna has a Master's Degree in Management and Leadership, and has SHRM-SCP certification from the Society of Human Resources Management.

With more than 30 years of Human Resources experience, Karla has a broad range of expertise in employee relations, compliance, benefit (health and retirement) administration, performance management, training and development, recruiting, compensation and payroll administration. Karla has a Master's Degree in Public Administration from the University of Southern California, and has SPHR, PHRca and SHRM-SCP designations from the Society for Human Resources Management and HR Certification Institute.

Virginia has nearly 20 years in education and a broad range of expertise in growing and developing charter schools in the areas of human resources, recruitment, performance management, budget, compensation, payroll, employee relations, compliance, training and development, and implementing systems to streamline processes. She has extensive experience collaborating with all stakeholders in promoting the school’s vision and mission. Virginia holds an M.B.A. Degree in Business Administration from Emory University and is a Certified Human Resources Professional (SHRM-CP). She’s a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and a member and mentor for the National Black MBAA.
