HEALTH AND SAFETY

We are committed to creating a safe environment for our attendees, our exhibitors, and our team to connect and learn! We are working closely with our partners in Sacramento and the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center as we follow federal, state, local and CDC guidelines.

The SAFE Credit Union Convention Center is GBAC STAR certified. GBAC STAR is the cleaning industry’s only outbreak prevention, response, and recovery accreditation for facilities and is the gold standard for cleanliness. The program relies on GBAC’s comprehensive science-based training, which teaches the proper protocols, correct disinfection techniques, and cleaning best practices for biohazard situations like the novel coronavirus (COVID). Also, during the recent renovation of the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center, the HVAC system was updated with higher quality air filters and airflow was increased, now pulling in 50% of the air circulating to come from the outside.

Currently, state and local guidelines for mega events (1,000+ people indoors) do not require vaccination verification or a negative COVID test for attend or participate. Masks are also not required, though they are still strongly recommended. Attendees are encouraged to follow CDPH Guidance for Face Coverings and refer to the CDPH Get the Most Out of Masking for more information on getting the best fit and filtration for masks.

California Charter Schools Association (CCSA) will implement measures to reduce risk of COVID transmission during the Conference. As outlined in state and local guidance, CCSA encourages all eligible conference participants (attendees, exhibitors, etc.) to get vaccinated for COVID and to sign up for CA Notify as an added layer of protection for themselves and their community to receive alerts when they have been in close contact with someone who tests positive for COVID. CCSA will also provide optional red/yellow/green wristbands for attendees so they can convey their social distancing preferences. We encourage participants to wear a mask if they desire to do so and for others (who choose not to wear a mask) to respect their preferences. CCSA encourages participants to not attend the conference if they are sick. If participants become symptomatic on-site, they should go to our First Aid station in the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center where we will have masks and rapid antigen COVID tests available.
