
The Hart Vision Awards, established in 1995, are named in honor of Gary K. Hart, retired California State Senator and former California Secretary of Education. While serving as state senator, Hart sponsored the legislation that established California charter schools.
This award recognizes classified staff members whose outstanding service, leadership, and commitment have strengthened their school communities and advanced student success. Through professionalism, initiative, and collaboration, the awardee makes a meaningful difference in the lives of students, supports colleagues and families, and contributes to a positive, welcoming, and effective school environment.
