Neku leads the Special Education program at CLCS, effectively accommodating and modifying learning for all students. Neku found her path to teaching through Oakland Teaching Fellows and became a resource specialist at Westlake Middle School. Since then, she has pioneered innovative special education systems and practices at Westlake. She has also instructed first and second year Teach for America special educators regarding best practices through Loyola Marymount University. California native and proud mother, Netu holds a bachelor’s degree from Claremont McKenna College as well as both a Master’s in Public Administration and in Special Education from San Francisco State University.
